Get the hetan mug.Basically the weebs of the Hetalia fanbase. Believe that the show is completely historical and accurate, when in reality it really isn't. They claim to know so much about history when their actually dumb as shit and know nothing. Often seen wearing crudely made Hetalia costumes. Also spotted doing the Sieg Heil while cosplaying as Germany and Prussia just a few blocks from a Holocaust Memorial during Passover. When cosplaying France they grope random con goers and their only excuse is that they're acting in character. Poor flag ettiquete. Most can be seen giggling in History class while the teacher is discussing serious topics. Show no respect to history. When talking of politics/history refer to the countries as "he" or "she". For some reason they hate Homestuck and it's fandom. Randomly shout out things like pasta, vodka, and panda, since it'd be so kawaii just like the show. Quite possibly worse than the Narutards.
**Keep in mind, there are some pretty sane and awesome Hetalia fans in the fandom. Usually show respect to countries and their history.**

History Teacher: In the fall on 1939, German troops invaded the country of Poland. While invading the-

Get the Hetaliatard mug.A Japanese anime originating as a manga. The show takes place during World War II, and each country is represented as a character. Each character represents many of the stereotypes of that particular nation, such as Italy's love for pasta.
Some feel that the show is educational to an extent, although not much is done educationally other than references to events that coincide with the episode's plot.
The fandom is often criticized for using stereotypes to define the characters' personalities and the way that counties are stereotyped.
The episodes in the anime are short: Most last around five minutes. An episode usually consists of one or two groups of characters with a small plot.

Person 2: I like Hetalia, although the stereotypes annoy me.

Person 3: I hate that gay piece of crap. It should have been canceled a LONG time ago.

Get the hetard mug.An anime where they portray history with personified countries.
It's pretty stereotypical and moe.
Hetare (Japanese stupid, idiotic) and Itaria (Japanese for Italy) make up the title "Hetalia."
It's mainly focusing on Italy's cowardice in WWII.
Personally, I love Hetalia.
I think it's a great doorway for people to get interested in History and the world.
Plus it's pretty damn funny and the dub for it isn't even that bad. Personally, I prefer it over the Japanese version because the accents really give it life. And what not.
I also like it because it makes Japan /not/ seem like the best country EVARRRR in anime.
Though, basically everything comes with some crazy ass fandom. The phrase I DESPISE is "I learned my history for Hetalia!"
Hetalia is NOT a substitute for a history book.
I also just don't get the pairings.
I don't know about you, but shipping two countries together is just /wrong/
Perhaps I could understand the whole Poland/Lithuania or Austria/Hungary to an extent since they were 'married'
Well, Prussia x himself is fairly understandable.
