Someone who is not afraid to try new foods, and basically loves all types of foods.

Contrast to an adult who eats like and sounds like a child (" I don't like asparagus, I don't like fish, I don't like peppers, I don't like cream cheese, I don't like brussel sprouts, I don't like onions, I don't like the same things I didn't like when I was 7 years old")

The foodie was excited to try the new Thai restaurant that evening.
