CAD stands for Colins Accurut Drawing as explained in his video "Making the Hulkbuster Part 2". Though others claim it means Computer Aided Design. CAD is used for creating models of objects, after which they are used for the construction of those objects.

The designer used CAD to design a real life Hulkbuster robot.
