When a large group of people does something that everyone in the group wants to do, but everyone says they are doing it only because one person may have suggested it or expressed a slight desire to do it.

Shortlight

When you are crossing at a traffic light pedestrian crossing with an island in the middle of the crossing, upon reaching the island the crossing indicator turns red.

Present tense: Shortlighting
Future tense: Shortlight

Past tense: Sorry i was late for work, i got shortlighted at Spencer street.
