Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT)

A combination of client-centered therapy, cognitive therapy, and sarcasm, designed by Albert Ellis. REBT acts to remove unreasonable cognitive beliefs, for example, musterbation. Its basic premise is that emotional suffering is due primarily to the often unverbalized assumptions and demands that people carry around with them as they negotiate their own way in life; for example, demanding perfection in oneself and/or in others.

REBT has been shown to reduce self-reports of anxiety in general and specific forms; reduce type A behavior patterns; reduce depression, anger, and, in children, antisocial behavior; and help emotionally healthy people cope better with everyday stress.

Janice's REBT therapist told her she was a control freak and that she was musterbating.

cessat ratione legis, cessat et ipsa lex

a) a Latin phrase meaning (original meaning): if the rationale behind a law fails, so should the law (i.e. it is potentially time to replace said law, since it may n o longer serve its intended purpose)

b) (my new and improved English translation of the phrase): a nicer way of saying " repeal and replace" old and possibly antiquated laws)

can cessat ratione legis, cessat et ipsa lex, definition b) be applied, or should it even be applied, to Obamacare?

Rational Anti-Furry

A very small portion of the anti-furry 'cult' that is actually knowledgable unlike the 7-11 olds and the adults that won't grow up out there, AKA the general anti-furry 'community'. These people don't dislike furries in general, except for the ones actually reasonable to hate (eg. P3dos, Corn artists, Toxic people, Fetishizers, and more). Even if they hate them, they don't usually raid/nuke or spy on furry servers, nor do they shove it up the furry's face or do anything to the extreme level about it.

rational anti-furry: no no you misunderstood, i only hate the weird people
person: oh yeah lemme guess, the furry members of lgbtq+?
rational anti-furry: no
person: the femboys or tomgirls?
rational anti-furry: no
rational anti-furry: i'm just talking about the weird ppl that be toxic and make graphic content of it and stuff
person: *realizes* ohhh i understand now

Post hoc rationalization

Funny how it isn't good enough when it comes to the rape-porn...

Hym "But you will take any post hoc rationalization to justify a years long surveillance and harassment campaign that resembles the delusions of reference commonly associated with schizophrenia. And that's all this is. 'Rage-baiting' until you can generate some post hoc rationalization for what you wanted to do from the get-go which was 'ruin somebody's life.' SOMEONE is going to wish someone would have pulled the lever to the trolly at some point down the antecedent chain. But you are trying to condemn people into living a ruined life by democratic fiat or arbitrary whim. And as you can see from the gif below... You are not doing what you need to do to contain the pandemic. And no me threatening your kids does not make you more rational than you actually are which is 'not at all.' So the does need to end the weaponization. FOR ME. AND NOW. They need to do their job and play ref because the score is still X-0 and it's not even a game."
