A word that should be pronounced "nish." Why?
1.) Because people waste too much time trying to decide how they "should" pronounce it. "Nitch?" "Neesh?" Let's standardize it and make it easy.
2.) If you don't pronounce it the way the person you're talking to pronounces it, you might be labeled anything from pompous to plebeian. Why should we have to endure this anxiety?
Let's all just agree that it should be pronounced "nish."

Both: "Niche!" *clasp hands like Arnold Schwarzenegger and Carl Weathers do in Predator*
Person 2: "Yeah, it's niche but it's lucrative. Also, I appreciate how you pronounced that. 'Nish.' It made me feel at ease and like we are equals."

Niche is used to describe a situation, experience, person etc that’s oddly specific. Often used when a person describes a multitude of things that are specific and not relatable but the statement is phrased like the person will relate.
Girl ; I hate guys that a 5 yet act like a 10, that are only 5’8 , got a small dick are named Jonathan…
Boy: That’s so niche , I’m pretty sure you just described your ex.
