Fractal acronym

An acronym that could be infinitely repeated in one or more of the shortened words.

"Pie", both the acronym for and a word in the acronym "Pie is Everything", would the the basis of the fractal acronym "P(ie)i(s)e(verything)Is Everything".

1. To make words into acronyms that don't stand for anything with the sole purpose of emphasizing the word! Especially as wall posts or status updates on social networking sites.

2. A step above ALL CAPS and exclamation marks!!!!

BOB post: "This S.A.T.U.R.D.A.Y! This party is F.I.E.R.C.E.!"

BJ comment: "What does S.A.T.U.R.D.A.Y. stand for?"

BOB comment: Nothing it's just S.A.T.U.R.D.A.Y. because I.T. I.S. F.I.E.R.C.E.!!!

acronymize

v The process of reducing as many words as possible to a series of acronyms. This practice is often found in organizations where groupthink is rampant and human interpersonal skills are undeveloped.

Instead of saying "We're going out for lunch. Will you be at the afternoon staff meeting," you could acronymize and say "We're going OFL. Will you be at the ASM?"

Extreme version: WGOFL. WYBATASM?
