Triplets

A trio that are the same in every aspect(especially math) except their parents. They hang out all the time like they are literally attached by the hip(although this is a questionable trait). Anyone that are friends with them are involved in a substantial amount of drama.

In 4/4 time:
8th note triplet = 1/12 measure
16th note triplet = 1/24 measure

A drum beat played with a double bass pedal. Triplets are a 3/4 timing (waltz) beat, meaning that there are three counts in each measure (1-2-3, 1-2-3). A simple triplet beat can be played by keeping a steady double bass beat and adding a cymbal hit every three beats and a snare hit every six beats.
