Pronounced like 'Egypt'. Losing something or missing out on an event due to technology, mostly emails and texts.

Dude1: Why weren't you at the party last night?
Dude2: Man, I got Egypped - the invite ended up in my spam folder.

Our boss texted everyone to say that work was closed today because of snow, but no one got the text. We were Egypped.
