KiSS is an acronym which stands for Kisekae Set System (Kisekae is a Japanese word referring to changing clothes). KiSS dolls are a type of virtual paperdoll which originated in Japan in the early 90s, but in recent years have become more popular in the western world. In addition to drag-and-drop changing clothes, the KiSS encoding allows for special effects to be used, such as music or animation.
