Ric Waffle

Ric Waffle is an insult used by locals in some towns in the North West of England to describe a person of caveman like appearance. Ric Waffle came into local language thanks to the mythical folklore (see below).

Ric Waffles are thought to be a small group of people that live underground and in caves in the North West of England. It is said that Ric Waffles can sometimes be sighted roaming the hills of Pendle whilst naked, with it also being said that one has a greater chance of sighting a Ric Waffle when there is a full moon.

Ric Waffles are known to only eat young children and supposedly worship the “witches of Pendle Hill”. It is believed that one Ric Waffle may have been integrated into society, with local folklore talking of a Ric Waffle living in the Accrington area (although this has not been confirmed)

Next time you are in the North West of England, hold your children close and pray there is no full moon.
George: “Did you see Ollie today?”

Jake: “No, why?”
George: “Well he looked like a Ric Waffle!”
Jake: “Oh no, protect the younglings!”

Do you know that the orange lodges agitated for repeal of the union twenty years before O’Connel did or before the prelates of your communion denounced him as a demagogue?
