Hoover Doover Manoeuvre

An outlandish physical, or verbal feat, which leaves the observer in a state of amazement. Some might say "Houdiniesque"
Historically used after someone has rolled a perfect joint under particularly difficult circumstances (eg. while riding on a roller coaster or skydiving).
"Thats a real beauty! How did you pull off that hoover doover manoeuvre"

Otherwise typically used when watching sport;
"Wow, he stepped one way, then the other! Before you knew it he'd hoover doovered himself across the try line"

hoover doovers

An alternate pronunciation for hors d'œuvres, based on their unusual spelling and the idea that one can hoover them up one after another.

Often associated with people not known for their sense of culture, such as members of the working class. Can be used jokingly or ironically.
It's already halfway through the first quarter and I'm starving! When's your wife gonna bring out some hoover doovers?
