Mefi

Something pertaining to the metafilter community, or an activity related to metafilter. Taken from "MEta FIlter." Used descriptively. Expanded to "Mefites" when used to describe members of the metafilter community. May be spelled Mefi or MeFi.

Descriptive: "Is there anything in video game land that is the relative equivalent of, I don't know, Moby Dick, or The Great Gatsby, or Anna Karenina, or that old Mefi standby, Lolita?"

Community member: "MeFites should be fairly forgiving, right?"

mefill 

When visiting a fast food restaurant one requests a water for their beverage, but after consuming the water and before leaving the individual returns to the drink fountain and decides to get a pop for themselves for the road. The greediness and selfishness of this maneuver turns a normal refill into a "mefill".

I was at Chipotle the other day and I ordered a water to wash down my burrito, but when I was done eating I went to the drink fountain and got a mefill of Coke.

Political pressure groups who bitterly complain when politicians they help elect do not attend to their agenda before all others.

Mefilas means a person who is smart and brave enough to defeat his enemy and do something. Cunning, smart in making Strategies and Great in martial arts.
