BACA (Being a Cynical Asshole) Disorder

Psychological disorder that develops sometime after puberty, just as full maturity is about to be reached. This disorder appears when everything and everybody you found cool as a teenager suddenly starts looking really lame, unoriginal, boring, douchy and most of all, shitty. People who suffer from it (a very small percentage of the population, as the vast majority keep on loving all this mediocrity well into their last days...) are not afraid to call people around them on their bullshit, and sometimes do so to the point of alienating themselves; therefore developing a very strong, independent, supreme-asshole personality (although some of them hate themselves for liking such utter crap at some early point of their lives).
- "Baby, let's go watch that new Gerard Butler movie, it looks funny..."
- "What?!?? I'd rather slit my penis' vein with a rusty bottle cap than having to sit through that piece of movie-making rape!!!! Call one of your douchy girlfriends..."
- "I see, your BACA (Being a Cynical Asshole) Disorder is acting up again. Better yet! Who the hell wants to sit in a dark theater next to your grouchy ass??..."

cynical romantic

Someone who thinks loves is a really nice thing and a great ideal, but believes that it is something that will realistically never happen for them.
"John really enjoys being around Erika, but he won't ask her out because he's convinced himself that any relationship would inevitably crash and burn. He's such a cynical romantic."

cynical optimist

A cynical optimist rejects the position that 'realism' is the only alternative to the extremes of pessimism and optimism. Instead, cynical optimism emphasizes that a reality can be sustained through a blending of the extremes. Indeed, cynical optimists would argue that the blending best describes the "reality" that "realists" have thus far failed to suitably articulate.
A: So, from a cynical optimists point of view - what IS the meaning of life?
B: We're all going to die. And many of us will die slowly and painfully. Then again, we're probably not going to die today. More importantly, MOST of our days, we're going to live; and only on one of them will we die. That's ... not such a bad deal. And, even if WERE a bad deal, it's the only deal in town. So, I'd make the most of the mundane while you still can.
A: How does that significantly differentiate you from existentialists?
B: Dude! Because I'm submitting to Urban Dictionary, not Cambridge University Press.

Outgoing, motivational, but insecure person ... Has huge trust issues but still manages to live life like she ain't never been hurt. Very understanding and inspiring in precis situations but can sometimes get distracted and drift off topic. She is a down to earth sweet girl until you hit her bad side. She is also a very loving person and especially loyal. Plus she always keeps the crowd entertained and laughing so basically never a dull moment with her... Overall a well rounded kind hearted but sometimes indecisive person.
Damn I love that girl she a real cynia.

Cynicism

Cynicism; (noun); Derived from the Greek word for dog, it first described a current of Ancient Greek philosophy. The cynic ringleader Diogenes of Sinope was described as "Socrates gone mad". The cynics pursued The Good without minding any other values. This meant they could jerk of at dinner tables, shit in public and live in barrells. Diogenes was said to live '"like a dog", hence the name, cynicism.

Nowadays, cynicism means an attitude in life that is conscious about morally bad or evil acts, but makes a joke out of them or commits them anyway. The cynic is blasé, he thinks everything is stupid or redundant and tends to sigh a lot.

Cynicism is said to be linked to hypocrisy. The hypocrite wants to convince other people of the fact that he is doing the right thing, whereas he knows he is not. The cynic doesn't want to convince anybody. He is honest to the extreme. His friends tend to describe him as dark, evil, terribly offensive or hilariously funny.

"Yesterday my aunt died. Well, at least we got free coffee."

"Global poverty is a real problem. Then again, so are pigeons."

"Women should have the right to vote for any man they want to surpress them."

"Yesterday my girlfriend told me she was pregnant. So I pushed her of the stairs. She fell down and bled all over the floor. Now I have to get a new rug. Fuck my life."
