Nine bob note

A pseudo-comical term used to describe an effeminate man. It was in common use prior to the decimalisation of the currency in 1971, when a ‘bob’ meant one shilling. It refers to the ten shilling note (10/-); and alludes to a male who seeks sexual comfort from other males with a fraudulent currency note or forgery.
‘Aubrey likes to collect recipes and is always gossiping with girls. I’m sure he’s a nine bob note!’

nine inch nails

THE industrial rock band. All music written by Trent Reznor. Has some of the most penatrating lyrics of any music I've heard.
How could I
ever think
it's funny how
everything you swore would never change is different now.
like you said
you and me
make it through
didn't quite
fell apart
WHERE THE FUCK WERE YOU?

Nine Deuce

Nine being the number 9, and Deuce being the number two,

This phrase often refers to the year 1992, or just the number 92 in general.
Yeah, Nine Deuce, Deathrow Records. Creepin' while you sleepin'.

-Snoop Dogg on Dr. Dre's album "the chronic" which was released in the year 1992.

Nine hysterical women

An overwhelming and practical response from the fans to events in a TV series, book, film, etc.

The first nine hysterical women were Torchwood fans, who sent coffee and letters to the BBC protesting against the death of Ianto Jones. Over 900 people registered on one LiveJournal community alone.
Russell T Davies: "The 'controversy' over Ianto's death is just nine hysterical women."

Or:
If (character) dies this series, they'll have nine hysterical women on their hands.

Nine Inch Nails

The band which frontman Trent Reznor reinvented the industrial genre with.
Trent Reznor has got to be the most talented, good-looking 40-year old ever. Nine Inch Nails is proof, piggies.
