Reality Interactive Gaming
R.I.G. technology, (Reality Interactive Gaming) was unveiled last week (September 2, 2013) as the partner app to the new action hero franchise, Dark Prophet. The technology allows gamers and fans to engage on all interactive platforms and in the real world. You’re a fan of a new superhero movie and you've downloaded the new Reality Interactive Gaming app to your smart phone. Your location is verified and an SMS is sent, leading you to an advertiser’s retail store. You’re asked to snap a product pic or QR coded images. The picture reveals clues to watch for in an upcoming episode. Secrets to hidden add-on applications will be revealed within the TV series and feature films. By downloading these apps, GPS and push notification will reveal coordinates directly to your smart phone. Hardware is also being developed to work with applications.

Also known as IF, this is a gamestyle that doesn't require a fully decked nVidia graphics card or Surround Sound. While it can be argued that any video game is interactive and fictional, IF refers to text adventures like the Zork series or Colossal Cave.
The lack of non-ASCII graphics does not mean that IF is not graphic in any capacity. Some of the deaths in IF are described in more detail than most gib-splattering FPS games care to show, which is to say nothing of the sexual content in some titles....
IF is also partially responsible for the point-and-click adventure and perhaps some in the SLG field, particularly visual novels and dating sims.

Interactive Ads
The most annoying form of internet advertising ever. They are flash video ads that are supposedly 'interactive.' First of all, they start out with sound always enabled, so if you have the volume up and this comes on, you shit yourself. Then when it gets to the 'interactive' part, it's like 4 seconds of clicking and dragging. Some sites are virtually unvisitable, because they have 10 of these ads, all starting at different times, freezing the web browser. Who ever though of these needs to be shot, and Urban Dictionary needs to stop using them.
