Also known as IF, this is a gamestyle that doesn't require a fully decked nVidia graphics card or Surround Sound. While it can be argued that any video game is interactive and fictional, IF refers to text adventures like the Zork series or Colossal Cave.
The lack of non-ASCII graphics does not mean that IF is not graphic in any capacity. Some of the deaths in IF are described in more detail than most gib-splattering FPS games care to show, which is to say nothing of the sexual content in some titles....

Completely useless rating of several issued to TV shows in the U.S. (the others being TV-Y7, TV-G, TV-PG, TV-14, and TV-MA) that is usually given to shows considered so-called children's entertainment when the TV-G rating more than suffices.
When Shelley saw her cableless TV was mired in TV-Y land, she opted for some fresh L.A. air instead.

(a) Simulated Life Game.
1 - SimCity 4 is one of the obvious examples of the widescale SLG (that is, the simulation of several lives on a wide scaled locale,) as are some of the other Sim games from Maxis / EA.
2 - The Princess Maker games are an example of the narrow scale SLG, in which you tend to one simulated life (sometimes more, though not on the scale of the widescale SLGs.) These tend to be more detailed as far as character growth is concerned (details may include habits, mood, state of body, etc.
(b) Social Life Game
A game in which you take control of someone's social life. While The Sims could fall under this category, this definition truly pertains to the ren'ai gaming style (the "love sims" if you may) that include most visual novels and practically every dating sim.

A TV rating, one of several issued to TV shows in the U.S. (the others being TV-Y, TV-Y7, TV-G, TV-PG, and TV-14) that is usually given to shows that are supposed to cater to mature audiences... shows whose "maturity" is two notches below Sesame Street.
When an animated show like South Park gets a TV-MA rating and can't do half the stuff that the TV-14 rated Man Show can do, then you know something is wrong. Then again, consistency and Comedy Central go together like Merlot and meatloaf.
