When a group’s discussion of concepts and ideas start to overwhelm the thought process that you ultimately end up just standing around stroking the other people's egos and accomplishing nothing.

We discussed rubrics, a list of criteria for grading student’s work, until we discussed ourselves into an academic circle jerk.

The act of constantly sharing the same opinion in a forum full of people who are obviously known to have the same opinion as yours, therefor granting you free upvotes to said opinion, while gathering downvotes to anyone that opposes you on the matter

Good examples:
The atheist section of Reddit
League of Legends' Boards

Any sort of 9Gag picture that goes against consoles/Frozen/Christianity

Nearly any website that governs itself through up and downvotes, and inevitably estabilishes "approved" opinions, which leads to the formation of a circle jerk

Circle Jerk Chicken 

The pillar of Jamaican cuisine. While the chicken is prepared in traditional fashion with a dry rub, natives gather round the pit and masterbate, battering the chicken with jizz and at times, spooging on each other. The natives then massage in the wet rub, creating a true delicacy.

Penguin Circle Jerk 

A true Pittsburgh fiesta! This party is celebrated annually, and the date depends on how deep the Penguins go in the NHL playoffs. The festivities culminate with #1 Penguin super-fan and NBCSN top douchebag NHL "analyst" Regis "Pierre" McGuire (commonly known as PierreMcGuire @PierreMcGuireNBC)on his knees acting as the king of all cum-dumpsters, taking load after load from Penguin fans and players. NHL golden boy Sidney Crosby is last to spooge, and then piss on Regis, because that's how Regis likes it.

The crooked NHL will help fans celebrate Penguin Circle Jerk in early June this year!

Left Wing Circle Jerk 

A term to describe a forum, subreddit, comments section, etc. of far-left individuals who strawman anyone to the right of them, mass downvote anyone who disagrees with them, discuss articles without reading past the headlines, and poorly criticize theories that they don't understand.

Person A: I tried reading r/politics yesterday and everyone kept attacking the Senator in the article's title because the headline made him sound racist when he was just trying to place an amendment on a bill

1.) When a group of males sit in a circle, jerking each other off.

2.) *NOT* when a group of males stand in a circle to jerk off onto a cookie or anything of the sort. That retarded frat game is called "Limp Biscuit"... which kind of indirectly explains why the band of the same namesake is so fucking horrible.

3.) When a bunch of blowhards - usually politicians - get together for a debate but usually end up agreeing with each other's viewpoints to the point of redundancy, stroking each other's egos as if they were extensions of their genitals (ergo, the mastubatory insinuation). Basically, it's what happens when the choir preaches to itself.

4.) A game on MXC that's based on sumo wrestling. Beware the Green Teabagger.
