Asimov Cascade 

A type of technological singularity where a person creates a replica of themself smart enough to become self-aware and able to create a replica of itself, but is unaware that they themselves are replicas. Those replicas themselves become self-aware and able to create a replica of itself, but is unaware that they themselves are replicas. Continue this trend to the point where who was the original creator becomes lost in the sheer number of replicas

Term coined in the Rick and Morty episode "Mortyplicity".

Resinous Cascade 

When you run out of pot and harvest the resin inside your pipe to get high off of, and continue to harvest the resin of the resin when you run out again. This creates a dimensional rift where you are never really high, but you definitely don't feel normal.

Failure Cascade 

Failure cascade is the inverse of a network effect. Websites like MySpace define their value by the people that use the service just as gaming communities define their quality by their members. As bad events cause users or players to leave or become inactive, the quality drop leads others to do the same in a spiral that rarely stabilizes, until no one is left.

Their leaders don't even want to log on anymore, they're in failure cascade.

Resonance Cascade 

The primary event leading to the other major events in the popular computer game Half-Life. It was caused by Gordon Freeman.

After the resonance cascade, aliens began to fill the Black Mesa Research facility and kill off the science and security personel. Things got worse over the years, as a new race of aliens named "Combine" came along and began killing people and sucking up Earth's natural resources. Because of all this, we can blame Gordon Freeman.
