Serial killers and other murderers appeal to the impulse Stephen King calls "feeding the alligators," and Carl Jung called "integration of the shadow self," but it all means the same thing: that entertaining our own dark side can be therapeutic.

feeding the troll 

Feeding the troll is when one replies to a troll in retaliation (usually). If somone feeds a troll, it may get cocky and cause an even bigger problem. The best way to deal with trolls is to report them and let the mods banninate the said troll.
