heck of a job

Total screw-up. Usually used ironically, to indicate when someone's self-delusion is in direct contradiction to well-known and easily-observed facts.
"Brownie, you're doing a heck of a job."

Get a job!

A retort heard during protests when the speaker has no relevant response to an argument. Typically used at night, on the weekend and/or when the speaker has no personal knowledge of his/her opponents employment status.

Also known as: the "ad Ars" (against the job) fallacy.
protester: My grandmother has no health insurance and the corporate death-panels will pull the plug if she doesn't get help soon.

counter-protester: Get a job!

protester: I'm self-employed.

counter-protester: Get a job!

protester: As a lawyer.

counter-protester: Get a job!

heck of a job

Phrase used by George W. Bush to refer to Michael Brown, then head of FEMA, during the response to Katrina. And the mocking was rightfuly deserved, as Brown was more or less inactive during the crisis, possibly delaying the establishment of refugee camps outside the city. The Mayor and the Governor fucked up completely, but Brown and Bush did as well. It is completely improper to try and protect them from blame and focus only on local and state officials.
The fact of the matter is that Mike "heck of a job" Brown fucked up the FEMA response. He did nothing to help the people of New Orleans for several days (and that is not because the evacuation is still going), and only after the National Guard finally arrived was anything done.

Getting a job

A hard task, usually requiring effort, patience, and a low sense of procrastination. Something you know you have to do, but still your tv or video game is sooo tempting.
Mom- Ryan! Shoudn't you be getting a job?
Ryan- But mom! I'm so close to gaining a level!!

Go get a job

The most abrasive and mutually damning insult on the internet. Telling someone to go get a job implies telling them to end their continued presence on the internet and actually become a useful member of society instead of being a deadweight who sits inside all day arguing with people over trivial matters online. Telling someone to go get a job is tantamount to telling them to throw their entire life away and start anew in an unfamiliar and discomforting position.
So now you're gonna blame ME for this? Go get a job already, you prick.
