A time where a professional hockey athlete, primarily a superstar, is forced off his/her game, and is continuously shut down because of a phenomenal glove, stick, blocker, and pad saves performed by the opposing goaltender.

Alex Ovechkin and Sidney(Cindy) Crosby have been halaked out of the playoff.

To shutdown the opposition's ability to score; to prevent small disc of rubber from entering a 4' by 6' area.

V- The epitome of flakiness; to be blown off in a really lame way, often accompanied by an awful excuse. Pronounced like the word hawk.

"Dude, where's Katie?"
"She called me after I bought her ticket for the movie to tell me she couldn't come. She mentioned something about needing to fold some laundry."
