fredagsmys 

Fredagsmys is pretty much the most holy tradition of Sweden. The word origins from two words; “fredag” and “mys”, which roughly translates to Friday and cozy. Every Friday, all Swedes drive by the supermarket to buy ingredients for taco, soda and chips. Then, they all sit down in their sofas with their families or friends and watch telly. Usually, the parents fall asleep after a few glasses of wine or beer while the kids stuff themselves with chips until they have a stomach ache.

Omelette du fromage 

The amazing phrase from Dexter's laboratory in the episode "The Big Cheese", when he listens to a French recording overnight to learn said language. This consequentially gets stuck on repeat, on this phrase. The next day all he can say is "omelette du fromage", actually working to his advantage in everything he does (except at the end, when his lab blows up).

Although meant to depict "cheese omelette", this phrase is grammatically incorrect. You should say "omelette au fromage", which means "an omelette with cheese".

Despite this, people still say the phrase "for the lols."

Mike: I only know one french word. Actually a phrase: Omelette du fromage.

Sarah: Dexter's lab?

Mike: Dexter's lab!

Sarah: Hahahaha!!

Mike: Roflcopter Lolmobile!

C'est fromage

Fake-for-fun mistaken pronunciation of the french term “C’est domage,” meaning “That’s too bad.”

Fromage is the french word for cheese.

The fun part of it is saying it in context and deadpan sincerity. You say it in mixed company that includes at least one person who knows some french.

When they hear you say, “Oh well, c’est fromage” they instantly notice that your attempt to throw in a little french for conversation colour... failed in a way that is funny to hear, but could prove to be embarrassing if they point it out to you.

However, people don’t want to embarrass other people. But because “c’est fromage” enters the brain so quickly as a funny error, most people don’t have time to stop their little chuckle at your expense. Then they are kind of forced to explain why they are laughing at you.

So it’s an impishly fun way to watch people squirm a little with how to react to you as they try to figure out whether or not your mistake was intentional. It usually shows you how natural and honest someone feels while they are with you.

“Oh well. C'est fromage.”
“C’est fromage? That’s cheese?”
“What did I say? Fromage? Oh jeez, I meant domage.”
“No you didn’t.”
“No, I didn’t.”
