A nickname for Sarah Palin who was virtually unknown until John McCain picked her as his running mate in the 2008, now she is considered a rising star in the Republican party

Before John McCain picked Sarah Palin as his running mate she was just an obscure governor most people had never heard of, now McCain's Monster has risen in prominence to become the de facto leader of the radical Tea Party movement.

Same idea as a McMansion. A poor facsimile of the real thing. A generic, mass produced, over designed and overpriced mishmash of architecture designed to separate young urbanite wannabes from their cash and make the developer rich.

The REI is in the new McMain Street between the Starbucks and the Fogo De Chao restaurant.

McCain Shuffle

Reversing all of one's previous political positions in a last-ditch effort to be nominated for President by a major political party.

Usually happens to a once-principled Republican who sells his or her soul to the fringe right to survive the primary process at the end of his or her career.

Romney really pulled a McCain Shuffle--first he was for an individual mandate, then abandoned RomneyCare when it looked like it might hurt his candidacy.

Sucking McBain 

Verb used to describe something that is rubbish. Originating in Australia, derived from an episode of the Simpsons in which McBain, attempting stand-up comedy, is told by an audence member "You suck, McBain!" to which he replies "Ja, I know."

"Did you see Plan 9 from outer space?"
"yes, it really sucked McBain."
