Transhumanism is an international cultural and
intellectual movement with an eventual goal of fundamentally transforming the human condition by developing and making widely available technologies to greatly enhance human
intellectual, physical, and psychological capacities. Transhumanist thinkers study the potential benefits and dangers of emerging technologies that could overcome
fundamental human limitations, as well as the ethics of developing and using such technologies. They speculate that human beings may eventually be able to transform themselves into beings with such greatly expanded abilities as to merit the label posthuman.
An intellectual is a person who primarily uses intelligence in either a professional or an individual capacity. As a substantive or adjective, it refers to the work product of such persons, to the so-called life of the mind generally, or to an aspect of something where learning, erudition, and informed and
critical thinking are the focus.
The Kardashev Scale is a method of measuring a civilization's level of
technological advancement, based on the amount of energy a civilization is able to utilize. The scale has three designated categories called Type I, II, and III.
A transintellectual is a person who who values intelligence in either a professional or personal capacity in active pursuit of upward mobility across the Kardashev Scale.
