Miscegenation comes from the Latin "miscere", to mix, and "genus", race; therefore means to mix races resulting in a hybrid offspring.

Miscegenation is and will always be a taboo.

Pride 

1. A feeling of dignity, self-respect; satisfaction in your achievements, possessions, or people you care about. A good thing to have.

2. Sometimes used to mean arrogant haughtiness and having excessively high opinion of yourself... which is actually narcissism, not pride.

1. John has much pride in his country because he served in the USA army.

2. John has too much pride in his religious beliefs and tries to force them on others.

Hate

A feeling of intense and extreme revulsion, distaste, enmity, and antipathy towards another person, place, or thing. Hate is typically the result of a real or imagined threat or irritation to oneself in the past or present.

Hate and love can sometimes go hand in hand.

Regret 

A feeling often accompanied by sadness, shame, and guilt; regret is when you wish you had done things differently in your past.

Grief 

1. A profound mental anguish that one feels when one loses a loved one. Often accompanied with feelings of sorrow, regret, anger, guilt, and feeling very lonely.

2. An annoyance, frustration or difficulty.

"Grief at the absence of a loved one is happiness compared to life with a person one hates."

Bitterness 

A feeling of deep anger and resentment. Bitterness is an emotion which encompasses both anger and hate, often people who are bitter appear to the world as just going around pissed off at everyone and everything. However bitterness is often a result of some past event which has hurt, scarred and jaded the person.

Mary let her bitterness she felt towards her family consume her.
