Clanker Sore

The persistent mental fatigue, eye strain, and existential dread caused by spending too many consecutive hours arguing with AI models, debugging prompts, regenerating outputs, or watching agents confidently invent nonsense. The AI-era equivalent of a canker sore.

Symptoms:

* Asking “Why would you do that?” to your laptop.
* Reading the same hallucinated answer five different ways, hoping one is correct.
* Accidentally saying “Good job” after an LLM finally returns valid JSON.
* Feeling compelled to open yet another chat because this prompt will definitely work.

“I spent eight hours getting my coding agent to stop deleting the config files. I’ve got a serious clanker sore.”

A Mormon computer programmer. Normally, lives in a new housing development in Saratoga Springs with 4 kids. Commutes to his company's office in Thanksgiving Point. Likes React. Hates Angular. Wants to be a data scientist and code more functionally. Hates OOP and Agile. Will switch jobs in 6 months to work at a neighboring company 50ft away in the Thanksgiving Point area. Also loves to get crazy wasted on Mountain Dew.

Poor Loko

A beverage made from mixing an energy drink and alcohol. Popular at nightclubs that play bootie-themed hip hop or house music. Also popular with binge drinking sorority and fraternity members. A spin on the now-infamous and banned Four Loko drink.
