The largest city in western Kentucky's Jackson Purchase region, and the only significant city in Kentucky who's name is of native american origin. Has alot of character for a town it's size, even having it's own Symphony Orchestra. Paducah once had a light rail system, as all significant cities once did, now has a bus system. The founder of Dr Pepper was from here, and the first factory was in the nearby suburb of Lone Oak (also the hometown of Jeri Ryan).
Paducah has long had a significant jewish community, which was periodically evacuated during the civil War.
Lower Town, which borders downtown to the northeast is Paducah's fine arts district. Once a slummy red light district with crackhouses, meth labs and crime, but thanks to the artist relocation program, artists from as far as NYC, San Fransisco, Hawaii and Paris France have relocated here and have fixed up the dilapidated old mansions which were often sold for less than $10 apiece. This is where the Yeiser Art Center and many galleries are.

As the two fashionistas/fascists carelessly dispose of the ambushed person's wardrobe in favor of the same sort of yuppie scum clothing that they wear (this means high heels {medically proven to cause bone deformity} for women and three piece suits for men. Nothing particularly modern here folks) they barate them with insults and never even donate their old clothing to charity (how shallow and self rightious can you get?)!

Every episode (of What Not to Wear) features an "ambush" style confrontation and makeover of a man or (more often) a woman who has been nominated by their friends as particularly unfashionable.
All the bad feelings created by What Not to Wear keep me from watching it. But I must admit, I do find Stacy London to be very attractive, in spite of her bad taste in clothing and overzealous tude.

With all the transformations our planet, it's cultures, government, geography, technology, language, music, the way we dress etc are likely to go through, it is highly unlikely that we will get through the Two-Thousands with a world as closely resembling our own as that shown on the cartoon "Futurama."

Most (north of the Rio Grande in particular) were killed off by various means.
The people of Mexico, ranked by wealth and influence (at least for the first 3), from least to most, are somthing like 20% Native American, 70% Mestizo (a mixture of White, typically Mediteranian Spanish European, and Native American), 7% White\European, and 3% Other (typically of or containing African and or Middle Eastern Ancestry)
So my point is, when people immigrate from Mexico to the USA (EEUU), whether legally or illegally, they are oftentimes just returning to the land that they had always occupied, millenia before Columbus or Leif Erikson

They bring ruin to natural areas, destroying thousands of native plant and animal species, tear up cropland (in case you don't remember that's what keeps us from starving to death) and otherwise cause severe amounts of soil erosion (which in turn degrades the water quality and aquatic habitat). For these reasons they are especially attractive to rednecks and other irresponsable people.
Tax dollars are wasted repairing the damage caused by ATVs.
There have been cases of arguments where ATV riders have actually killed farmers & property owners.

Get the ATV mug.The period that started on January 1st 1900 and ended December 31st 1999. Often confused with the 20th century (which began and ended exactly 1 year later) as well as the 1st decade of the 1900s.
During the 1900s, many disenfranchised groups got a better life, but on the downside, the landscape was destroyed by the automobile (as well as the airplane) and all the things that followed.
