(adj.) Combination of the words "middle" and "delicious": food which is neither extraordinarily tasty nor truly awful, but simply common, average, or adequate-quality cuisine. Often filling and good enough to eat if you're hungry, but you'd pass it up for *real* food.

Most store-bought pizza isn't superb, just middlicious. Believe me, I've had worse delivered.

Emo grunt

The voiced, gutteral grunt made by someone (typically a preteen child) used to express indignation, or frustration.

Whenever Christie's 11-year-old daughter doesn't get her way, she immediately emo grunts and stomps her foot, as though that's gonna change Christie's decision one bit. Well, sometimes it does.

Almost a yes, but still an answer in the negative. You really want to say 'yes', but for whatever reason you have to say 'no'.

Variants: 'nyope' and 'nyuh-uh'
Antonym: 'nyes'

"Hey, baby, let's get this new 40-inch widescreen television."
*sigh* "Nyope. Can't afford it right now, hon."

correctify

A portmanteau of correct and rectify.

To correctify something means to obsessively nitpick over details which in the pointy-headed purist's mind are so torturously annoying that he can't help but speak up about it. The significance of such details, however, is pure truthiness.

A behavior commonly associated with period nazis in the SCA and other medieval-recreation societies and LARPs.

Madus as they are used in the Amtgard LARP are hardly recognizable as "actual" madus, yet you'll often see players correctifying each other about what "real" madus should look like.

desktop graffiti

The annoying tendency of Windows applications to clutter up your desktop, quicklaunch bar, and start menu with multiple shortcuts to their software without bothering to ask permission first, as if you're only too happy to be burdened the convenience of having to click on your mouse one or two fewer times to run the software. Also applies to shortcuts to third-party programs bundled with the installed software, usually unasked-for and often unwanted.

Adobe just auto-updated itself the other day, and boom! more desktop graffiti to delete.

A list of things you're not allowed to do. Popularized by a website made by a military personnel listing all the things he was no longer allowed to do in the military.

The first rule on Fight Club's skippy list is "you're not allowed to talk about Fight Club".
