when you've killed all but one of your enemy's units (in a RTS game) and the last of the enemy's units is roaching around, possibly in your base killing your workers, until your enemy sees that you've sent your entire army at his last unit and consequently runs his last unit around the map, leading your 50 unit army on a wild goose chase for 30 minutes until he abruptly resigns when your army closes in on his unit.
OMG, I thought I won the game, but his last light cavalry was harassing my economy and I had to send my entire army to lead a wild goose chase after that last light cavalry unit for 30 minutes - and then that bastard resigned just when his light cavalry fell into my ambush.

It often means that you have a strong personality, are emotionally intense, like emotionally charged/provocative stimuli (many “edgelords” are trolls), are high-contrast, and like to bring a lot of energy into the room. You’re vivid/memorable at a level others aren’t. You rile people up in polarizing ways (you make people go LOL, generate excitement, and also generate “hater” energy”). Edgy people often take risks that others don’t. They’re often adrenaline-driven. On online forums, they often have the effect of dominating the entire social scene. It doesn’t necessarily have to be transgressive but often is. They will often give non-standard questions and answers, and are quicker to test you than the avg person is.
Many edgy people are bipolar or ADHD. Sometimes it mean you can sync manic cycles with other people (some people appreciate edginess b/c it brings A LOT of energy into the room, though it often comes in the form of “mixed phase bipolar energy” which isn’t the most productive). Edginess is often nihilistic, but edginess is also especially prevalent in innovators who fundamentally change social reality, and edgy people are sometimes the only people who have any desire to push the boundaries of organizations. Edginess often polarizes people, often causing high-openness fun-loving people tending to love you and authoritarian traditionalists (“ppl fear waht they don’t understand”) to hate you.

A difficult, prestigious math competition for the students with the top AMC + AIME schools in the United States. Simply qualifying for the exam means that you're among the best in the nation.
Thomas Jefferson of Science and Technology has more USAMO qualifiers than any other school in the United States.

An ingenious attempt by Maxis to make money by making so many expansion packs that people somehow cannot resist buying. Has a larger market than any other computer game as it's a game where both hardcore teenage male gamers and normal people can actually relate to.
Buying all of the expansion packs of the game individually would cost hundreds of dollars. Especially for those so impatient that they cannot wait for packs to merge the expansion packs together.
