A type of rule where a person's role is determined by his background. Castes also have different levels of power.

For example : in ancient Japan, the Tokugawa Dynasty ruled with a caste system, where the samurai were the highest.
Another example : India apparently has a caste system. This means that if you were born of a poor family, you are required (not destined, required) to be that way, and nothing you do will change that. Specifically, if someone was the reincarnation of the Buddha, that person would be the most powerful man in India.

Contrary to the fetish beliefs, capitalism is NOT a caste system. Capitalism does not judge people on their birth, but requires people to work hard if they want to be rich.
"Castes don't work very well....and yet somehow they're effective. I'm stumped. Nevertheless, America should not resort to a caste system; that would be unconstitutional & against the founding principles of this country."

Solid Snake's biological father. Commonly portrayed as a very old man in a suit underneath a khaki trenchcoat, and wearing an eyepatch on his right eye.
Big Boss is deceased really. However, the US government has managed to preserve his incinerated remains, and with this, they can study his genetic code. And by studying his genetic code, they can find out what genes caused Big Boss to be "the greatest soldier of the 20th century"; these genes are called the "soldier genes".
Big Boss's genetic legacies were going to be octuplets, but 6 were intentionally aborted so that Solid Snake and Liquid Snake would grow to be incredibly strong. However, Solidus was the survivor of the abortion, and is thus the third.

Big Boss fought Solid Snake twice, once in the first Metal Gear game (set in Outer Heaven), and the second Metal Gear game (set in Zanzibar Land).
It is highly possible that Solid Snake is Big Boss's greatest genetic legacy, despite their hatred before BB's death. After all, who else could take out an almost-immortal soldier (Liquid Snake that is)?!

It has been suggested that Big Boss is the main character for Metal Gear Solid 3 : Snake Eater. We won't know until the game is released in November of 2004....
"Whoever wins, the battle does not end. The loser is freed from the battlefield, the winner must remain there, and the survivor must live his life as the warrior until he dies."
-Big Boss, Metal Gear 2 : Solid Snake

"This philosophy is why I don't fight.....to me it means that if I got in a fight and managed to win, there will always be people coming after me to try to kill me. No matter how many times I win, there will ALWAYS be people after me. It's a cruel world..."

chopsticks

*Synonymous with "cool" or "good", etc positive responses.

*Oriental eating utensils (Oriental, as in, Chinese or Japanese or Korean, or others like Burmese or Vietnamese, etc etc). Basically it's two sticks that are held in a certain way that they can be used to pick up anything, mostly food, given chopsticks' purpose.
If you're a full-blooded oriental, you can probably pick up a single piece of rice with chopsticks! Or maybe even a single noodle!
"I can eat ramen and rice with chopsticks. ^-^ seriously, I can."

*Synonymous with "lies" (greatly depends).

*Being a hypocrite or bearing similar traits to a hypocrite, such as being two-faced & for example, claiming to be for something but in reality isn't.

*A human trait.
"Hypocrisy does suck, yes. BUT, it is in our human nature to be hypocrites. If you don't admit that you're a hypocrite, then you're a hypocrite. ALL human beings are hypocrites. Not just politicians and communists. And believe it or not, not JUST women either!.....although women are known to very hypocritical. Nevertheless, you're a hypocrite, he's a hypocrite, she's a hypocrite, and even I AM A HYPOCRITE. It's all about admitting whether or not you are one. If you admit you're a hypocrite, then you could get somewhere in life. The reason people can't admit that they're hypocrites is because of their ego, and for some, they have their ego because they feel that they have a cause to uphold.....this is especially true of being a politician. A politician is basically a bureaucrat in a sense. Hypocrisy can be evident because of bureaucratic structures, such as the fact that bureaucrats are mindless people who only follow orders. And George W Bush is widely considered a hypocrite because of the liberal elite.......well whatever. We're all hypocrites. Got it?"
