THE best band on earth, with the best song in the world, "Fade To Black". Formed in 1981 by drummer lars ulrich, Metallica released their first album, "Kill 'Em All" in 1983, followed by "Ride the Lightning" ("Fade to Black"'s album) the greatest album in the history of the earth, in 1984. Tragically, in 1986 Cliff Burton died shortly after recording "Master of Puppets". Burton was replaced by bassist Jason Newsted. Although no one could replace Cliff Burton, the show must go on. If you don't believe me, just listen to his bass solo "(Anesthesia)--Pulling Teeth). Newsted's First Record with metallica was "Garage Days Re-Revisited", An EP with five songs. In 1988, they released "...And Justice For All", with their most popular thrash song, "One". Sadly, three years later, Metallica sold out with "Metallica" a.k.a. "Black Album". It was a decent album, but it had a mainstream sound and was twice as popular as any other Metallica album, causing Metallica fans to be also labeled as Daniel Powter fans, and The Fray fans.
I'd say more up there, but i ran out of space. So, to sum it all up, Metallica is better than megadeth, suck now but have the occasional good song, *coughstonecoldcrazycough*, and need to be good again.

Get the The Thing That Should Not Bemug. A metalhead is simply someone who likes REAL metal for there favorite music and can tell real metal and shit metal apart. None of that bullshit you said about metalheads is true u fuck bag! you probably just listened to shitty korn or faggy slipknot. Get the Fall Out Boymug. None of you dissing metal here know shit about metal. You're thinking of Grindcore and/or Nu Metal, they both suck balls and should die. When you say Heavy Metal is killing rock 'n' roll, then your only right if you're thinking of Nu Metal, which is true; it is. But most of your rock 'n' roll is metal, believe it or not.Led Zeppelin(sometimes), Guns n' Roses, Metallica, Def Leppard, Black Sabbath, Megadeth, AC/DC, etc, they're metal. When it comes to the whole satan thing, that's black metal, and that IS in fact, screaming, most of the time. "Bad" metal is not very common. The only metal that appears on shitty MTV is again, Nu Metal, thanks to NU metal and Nu Metal only is Rock 'N' Roll dying.
Look into Heavy Metal before you define it, and you wont be considered "Stupid".
