originated i believe in Tennessee as dutch/Irish immigrants. the name redneck came about because of red handkerchiefs they wore around their necks. they are also where the term "hillbilly" came from.

pole jam

a pipe coming vertically out of the ground. usually as a barrier between automobiles and the side of a building, etc. but said pipe has been carelessly backed into, leaving it at or near a 45 degree angle, rendering it skatable.
