nasal

In this case, defining a characteristic of certain sounds as having a "nasal" quality. for example, a person's voice will be more nasal if the larynx is high, or if they naturally talk through their nose.

also, certain instruments can also have a rather "pinched" or "nasal" tone to them, for instance the oboe or the clarinet.
