Respect
Respect is a choice and always should be. As with males, females should be respected or not respected on an individual basis, and not a collective, general basis (since not all females are the same person or on the same page). As with white people, black people should be respected or not respected on an individual basis, and not a collective, general basis. The same applies to any other groups that claim to feel marginalized, from cocksuckers to mentally ill folks to anybody else.
Nobody has to respect anybody, no matter their sex, race, orientation, religion, creed, or anything else. Respect is not owed anyone, which is why a lot of feminists, gay rights activists, and other folks aren't making a point when they complain about people not respecting them. Most people don't get respect from other people throughout most of their lives, no matter what respect they seem to get.

Dull
The view of the world that kindness is weakness is dull, because everybody has it. It's a cloned/copied view of the world rather than an original.
Something that everyone else does is dull, no matter how spicy, fiery, fiesty, quirky or anything else people call it instead of calling it what it really is.

Plain
Someone that tries to make themself look colorful to many people because they are actually as dull as it gets when nobody is around.
The girl was a plain instigator and tried to be bossy with people when nobody was around, but tried to make herself look colorful and put upon/subserviant when there was a broad audience.

Happy half hour
Bartender to black patrons- Since I am in a generous mood, I've decided to give you all one extra happy half hour, I will not cut you off early today.
White patron- You gave everyone else a full happy hour, how are they going to get happy in a half hour?

Developers
Morons. The kind of people that want to bring new life something that hasn't even been around a long time (a hotel that has done well since it opened 20 years ago), though most structures they tend to call aging are not really old when you think of how long some buildings have been around (the Empire State Building, the Colosseum in Rome, the Pyramids come to mind).
The Developers would say or do anything to get what they wanted, a few more dollar signs out of something. They would say something that had been around 10 years and flourished was in need of new life or that they were going to magically transform it into something new and exciting, even though it wasn't needed, and a lot of people wouldn't have wanted anything new, they liked/loved it the way it was before it changed, before the developers fucked it up. Just like there were people that liked something until they called it a game changer, and fucked up everyone's best efforts that they put towards it.

Developers
The developers wanted to turn a hotel that was doing well until the pestilence, which didn't help any hotel, into an apartment complex. There was nothing new or original about their idea, just a lack of people to oppose them at a time when people were thought to be at their most vulnerable, especially people in the hotel business. It was an oppurtunistic time for some folks, including the developers, people making money off medical supplies, vaccines, masks, and so on.

Plastic shark
A guy that always calls himself a shark, or claims to have assembled a whole team of sharks to scare everybody and keep them from getting in the water.
The rapper turned himself into a plastic shark to keep everybody at the beach out of the water, kind of like pulling a fire alarm or calling the school and threatening with a bomb so that everybody freaks out.
