Coimbatore 

Coimbatore is a City in the state of Tamilnadu. It is abbreviated as Kovai. It is a fertile area situated on the banks of the Noyyal river and surrounded by the Western Ghats due to which it has a mild climate. Coimbatore is a major manufacturing hub and exporter of jewellery , wet grinders , textiles and auto components. Coimbatore is called the "Manchester of South India" due to the presence of abundance of textile industries.

I love to live in Coimbatore for the pleasant climate and abundant oppurtunities it offers.

Madras 

Madras which is the short form of Madrasapattinam is the old name of Chennai , the capital city of the state of Tamilnadu. The city was one of the important early holds of the British East India Company who purchased a fishing village of Chennapattinam or Madrasapattinam in 1639 and built the Fort St. George there , around which the city of Madras grew. It has three rivers , the Adyar , the Cooum and the Kosasthalaiyar flowing through it in addition to the Manmade Buckingham Canal. Post independence , it became the capital city of the state of Tamilnadu. August 22 every year is celebrated as 'Madras day'.

Madras is a great city to live and work in. I love to visit the Marina Beach in Madras.

Periyar is the idealogical figurehead of the Dravidian movement.

DMK 

Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam abbreviated as DMK is one of the two major Dravidian Parties in Tamilnadu. It was founded by Peraringar Annadurai in 1949 as a split from Periyar's Dravidar Kazhagam. It's electoral symbol is the 'Rising Sun'.

Tamilnadu has progressed so much due to the good governance given by the DMK government.

Periyarist 

A person who considers Periyar E.V.Ramasamy as their leader and follows the Dravidian idealogy. They can be identified by their uniform of Black Shirt. They have a progressive and rational outlook and advocate for gender equality and fight for the justice for oppressed classes.

I have read the works of Periyar and I am truely inspired. I am going to become a Periyarist.
