Solid mantis's definitions
A lot of people make a bucket list with things like skydiving or bungee jumping, things many people have survived. They dont put something nobody else puts on a bucket list, like driving a full length nascar race at full speed going the wrong way the entire time. 500 or 600 laps going the wrong way. People want to put something they think they have a low risk of dying from, and a good chance of living through, and call it a thrill. Your heart would be beating fast enough before your final seconds if you did something nobody else does for a bucket list item, at least then you'd be interesting and original.
The guy/girl turned 5 cars at the speedway into a fireball to do it, but people that knew him/her could say he/she completed his/her bucket list.

Get the Teacher student complexmug. One year/season is not enough to know whether a guy is good for a job. If you really want a guy to commit to a team, you have to make a commitment to him, rather than threats about how he will lose his job if he doesn't do exactly what you want him to, when you want him to do it (trying to light a fire under his ass). Nobody performs better that way, and it's a waste of money/resources you could've just saved for a different quarterback, if a different quarterback was what you knew you wanted deep down all along. I guess when you have excessive amounts of money at your disposal, you feel like fucking around with it more than someone on a tighter budget.
Either somebody wanted the guy to be a quarterback before he started, or they didn't. There's no sense in fucking around with a guy's head about it when you have enough money that you don't have to fuck around with anybody's head, you could pick anybody you wanted for the job.

Indians don't feel the same way about Thanksgiving. They most likely wouldn't even feel welcome at a Thanksgiving dinner these days.

Get the Reality/game show moronmug. People talk about genocide like it just happens in Africa to get their focus off what happened on Indian land in the last few hundred years. Thanksgiving is the most pretentious and insincere holiday there is. People pretend to be thankful to live on Indian land, especially the white people who think they're doing the Indians a favor by decapitating a Columbus statue and protesting it.
Thanksgiving is what the people desperate to convince the Indians and everyone else they don't care what anybody thinks of them would call a holiday like Thanksgiving. People quit thanking the Indians for their land long ago.
