Crime of passion sounds a little too good to be true for someone who was already passionate long before a crime of passion.

The guy/girl might have done it for fun, but his/her passion was there long before the crime of passion. He/she had always been a little too passionate, trying to give over 100 percent.

Anybody who looks for a scapegoat or doesn't hold anything sacred (including justice) doesn't believe in fair play, fair trials, or fair anything else

Nobody was crazy enough to represent the guy in town that the girl was scapegoating.

Chicken shit

The kind of person who has to have a 6 year old or somebody who either doesn't know or hardly knows the other person to talk the shit they want to talk to somebody when the other person is around.

The mouthy girl/guy would have her mother, someone else's kids, or a stranger to the other person talk shit to them, unless it was something the chicken shit wanted them to read on the internet about themself.

Rose colored glasses

Viewing others or yourself in a way that's too good to be true, too good to be reality.

The guy/girl had always worn rose colored glasses, and didn't see that he/she was as much of a hypocrite as everybody else, or that not everybody had to think the way he/she thought about the world, or life.
