In Scotland, a plamf is a derogatory term meaning idiot. Depending on the context, you can use plamf as an extreme insult to passers-by, or in gentle banter between male friends.

Offensive:

In Scotland, a nugget means "idiot" in it's purest term. You can use nugget in both an offensive and friendly context.

Offensive: "Whit u lookin at, ya fuckin nugget"

Friendly: "Aw, dinnae be a nugget man, lets gan get some drink"

In Scotland, a trumpet is an idiot/arsehole/dick. You can use trumpet in an offensive and friendly context.

Offensive: "Hey you ya fuckin trumpet - whit the fuck ur you daein?"

Friendly: "Yu're such a trumpet man!"

goats baw 

Scottish term for someone who is a complete fucking arsehole

Baw is Scots for testicle. You are effectively calling someone a goat's testicle.

Can be used in friendly and offensive contexts.

"Shut it ya goat's baw"

"Hey ya fuckin goat's baw, whit ye daein? Looking for a fight ur ye?"

jaikie 

In Scotland, someone of unclean, possibly shifty, appearance. Tramps and alcoholics are commonly referred to as jaikies up here.

Can also be used as a term to describe an ugly woman.

When commenting on unclean people:

"Look at the state of that jaikie!"

"What a jaikie bastard"

When insulting a woman:
"You're jaikie as fuck! Scoot, ya fuckin ugly nugget afore ah slap ye wan"

Someone who is either an idiot, or spends too much time taking drugs. Someone who shows signs of minimal intelligence and/or common sense.

This phrase can be used in an offensive or a friendly context.

"Look at that prick, he's fuckin tuned to the moon, so he is"

"Ah've goat my giro, ah'm gonna be well tuned tae the moon the night so ah am"
