checkout-counter coercion
A.k.a. "point-of-sale pressure". Similar to second-generation enabling, this term refers to a comparably-shameless mooching-strategy that's used on someone when you're both out shopping; it involves knowingly carrying a cancelled/expired credit card or a debit/cash/gift card that has no/insufficient funds on it, and then attempting to use said worthless plastic to pay at the checkout. Well, naturally, when the clerk swipes your card and then regretfully announces that the card was rejected, this awkward and "unexpected" delay creates an acutely-humiliating situation, especially if other shoppers are present. So you first make a great show of looking shocked/flustered/embarrassed, then hastily turn to your shopping-buddy and ask meekly but urgently, "Oh, I'm so sorry --- I forgot/didn't realize that my card wasn't gonna work this time! Do you think you could pay for my purchases just this once, and I'll pay you back as soon as I can?" And then of course, your hapless companion finds himself in a "hanged if you do and hanged if you don't" dilemma --- he can either get stuck with paying off a huge store-bill, or look like an unfeeling jerk in front of all those other customers if he indignantly refuses, especially since it would mean that you would then have to crimson-facedly tiptoe all around the store again to put all of your purchases back on the shelves, plus it would also mean that any money that your friend used for gas to take you shopping will have been wasted, also.
I prudently side-step any incidents of checkout-counter coercion by always making sure to gently-but-firmly tell my shopping-companions beforehand that (1) they will be totally "on their own" about coming up with the funds to pay for their purchases, and (2) I will **not** refund their gas-money if they're unable to obtain their desired items.

giggle-gurgle
Fizzy carbonated ("sparkling") water. So named because it gurgles on its way down yer throat, and ya giggle when it tickles yer tonsils.
Plain water or fruit juice is all well and good, but I love giggle-gurgle, especially on a hot day --- nuthin' like that bubbly "bite" to soothe your dry palate and "deeply" quench your thirst.

bulk-buying buffoon
Humorous term for the total jackass that you feel like after making a large-quantity purchase of something in an attempt to save money in the long run, but then discover that you don't need nearly so much of the product as you'd expected you would.
A good example of a bulk-buying buffoon would be someone who liked repairing old VHS cassettes and therefore bought several large rolls of half-inch-wide splicing-tape instead of the much-costlier-per-foot dinky little tape-rolls that you usually find included in tape-splicing kits, only to discover that most of the movies he liked were now available on DVD, and so he would seldom have a need to splice broken videotapes anymore.

split parsonality
Where someone acts arrogantly/annoyingly "pious 'n' preachy" ("I'm as honorable as a parson!") when publicly interacting with others, but is in reality a totally selfish/dishonest jerk in his private actions.
I somehow can never develop much respect for some highfalutin nose-in-the-air who claims to be a religious fanatic, but who also cannot appropriately handle even a simple moral-question situation --- talk about a split parsonality!

clomber
My hiking-buddy suggested that we take a shortcut through the woods on our way back to the car, but my feet were getting really swollen and achy, so I opted to just stay on the footpath and meet him back in the parking lot --- "You can cut through the woods if you want to, Dude, but I think I'll just take the smooth pine-needle-covered trail even though it's somewhat longer --- I really don't feel up to clombering over rocks and tree-roots."
post-sermon relief
The only truly enjoyable part of the whole church-attendance experience (well, besides the ice cream Sunday, perhaps); that's why everyone's smiling as they exit the church --- they didn't actually enjoy being cooped up in a sweltering stuffy musty chapel for two long boring hours; they're just so relieved that it's finally over and they can go outside again.
I hear people happily praising the preacher on what a great service it was as they file out of the church,. but for most of them, it's just post-sermon relief --- the only thing they're actually happy about is that the service didn't last longer than it did!!

saidiment
Heavier-than-usual "particles" of verbally-administered (i.e., "said to you") of b**ls**t that tend to settle to da bottoms of your ear-canals and clog 'em up instead of simply "passing through" --- i.e., "going in one ear and out da other" --- da way normal-weight crap-trap should.
