Mild expletive, like gosh or darn. Regional. Specific to pockets of the Midwest, particularly the Cincinnati area. Etymology inconclusive, though possible origin is from Cincinnati native and professional baseball player and manager Don Zimmer, who famously brawled with Boston player Pedro Martinez during the 2003 American League Championship Series, an event which caused his pants to fall down.
