Generation C
An age group encompassing those born to those reaching adulthood during the COVID-19 pandemic. People born between 2000 and 2021.
Their worldview, their attitudes and their temperaments were shaped by the demands, constraints and pressures of the pandemic. Whether undergoing home-schooling from a masked parent or a teacher on Zoom, or facing severely diminished job prospects, they comprised Generation C.

interval infection
COVID-19 infection coinciding with a patient's first vaccination and developing prior to receiving the second. The symptoms may easily be misinterpreted as side-effects from the vaccine.
He had felt strange since receiving his first dose of the vaccine - aching, fatigued, coughing, short of breath. Three weeks later, after receiving his second dose, he had a fever of 102, was fighting for breath and coughing badly. While it was logical to assume he was having a severe reaction to the vaccine, the stronger probability was that he had contracted an interval infection.

March 2020 to March 2021 felt like Groundhog Year to many, their working, academic and social lives constrained, confined, out of reach, the old forward motion of days, weeks, months a diminishing dream.

Vaccadoodle
She refused to be vaccinated, certain that Bill Gates had engineered the whole pandemic to take over the world. The shot would implant a microchip in her brain. Bill Gates would know where she was at all times, what she bought, the websites she visited, what songs she liked. She had learned this from her i-phone, which was always on, always in her hand. She was a certifiable vaccadoodle and if she perished from Covid, at least Gates would never know.
