Someone who always has their discord opened in the background on their computer, so their status is always green. Despite their always online status, they are often the type of user who rarely checks their DMs, or just outright ignores your messages.

Any external unstoppable force so strong and so unpredictable that it cannot be quantified. Humans have grown to think about themselves as masters over their environment, but when face to face with mother nature, we lose. Every. Single. Time.
Only the wise will understand and accept that nothing, not even humans and their scientific prowess, can control mother nature. The fool, on the other hand, deludes themselves into thinking that they are impervious to anything.
Be smart, don't ever underestimate mother nature.

COVID-19 is mother nature's wake up call that the human condition is and always has been fragile. Apparently, some very special individuals did not understand her wake up call and continue to live life accordingly to their rules. We call those very special individuals "anti-maskers".

1. Generally, any sort of internet comment thread (community) where the individuals engaging in the thread conform to dominant beliefs, and are insular towards those that present a different viewpoint. Note that a disinterested thread is different from a chauvinistic thread, as the latter will aggressively attack different viewpoints, while the former simply does not care.
2. Specifically, any sort of internet comment thread—particularly on YouTube—where the individuals engaging in the thread (usually mid-late teens to young adults) are happy-go-lucky casuals and do not attempt to pursue the topic of interest further, often due to ignorance or a short attention span. Thus, when the so-called reply guy comes in with a paragraph, the casuals react with a "wut" attitude and completely dismiss his or her critical and edifying perspectives. This usually comprises of the entire thread either ignoring the intellectual all together, or replying back with something like "I don't get it" or "no one really cares". Further attempts of enlightening the casuals might only be perceived as an annoyance and may cause some of them to mute the comment thread.
Unfortunate to the intellectual, he or she might feel utterly neglected, and loses faith in the young generation's ability to think critically.
Combined with the typical "the internet is not school" mentality, casuals on the internet may never learn, and will object to any sort of information that challenges their mindset.

YouTube comment thread on a Mukbang video:
OP: Literally every time I see the word Mukbang in the title, I get super hungry, does that happen to anyone else?? {207 likes | 3 days ago}
> Reply 1: Omg that literally happens to me every single time too! {26 likes | 3 days ago}
> Reply 2: Happens to me too! {20 likes | 3 days ago}
> Reply 4: Yeah same, I think it has something to do with something called operant conditioning {16 likes | 3 days ago}
> Psychology student: @Reply 4 Psychology student here. Actually, it has nothing to do with operant conditioning, what you're referring to is classical conditioning, which is the pairing of an unconditional stimulus with a neutral stimulus. You see, the word Mukbang is a neutral stimulus, but because it has been repeatedly paired with the concept of eating loads of food, it has a strong association with food, and food is an incentive that triggers ghrelin. {0 likes | 2 days ago}

A Chinese-run shopping platform that sells incredibly cheap items, both price-wise and quality-wise. It is a junkyard for cheap generic crap that will probably break or malfunction within 2 days. Also uses the most economical shipping method so expect the crummy item to arrive in 2-4 months. The platform also uses very deceptive marketing techniques. For example they label some items as "free" under the condition of paying for shipping (in reality, they just disguised the real price of the item as the shipping free).
People tend to rationalize the inferior quality with the low price, but honestly you can find much better quality products on Aliexpress with the same low price.

My friend: Just bought these $2 pair of generic earbuds from wish.com but it sounded like crap and only lasted 2 days.
Me: Bro why are you using wish.com? Delete that shit and just use Aliexpress instead. With Aliexpress you are getting access to a wider variety and selection of items which includes high quality items from well-established Chinese brands. They are also crazy cheap too!

Cool math games has been around for a looong time. Disguised as a math website, it has been the most popular go-to website for K-12 students to play unblocked flash games at their school.
Every kid knows about cool math games, however, what most kids don't know is that there are dozens among dozens of other unblocked game sites that offer even more game selections.
In addition, most kids also don't know about PortableApps or portable programs in general, which are .exe files that don't require any installation to run the program (in this case a game). Examples of old (but gold) portable .exe games include Counter Strike 1.6, Halo 1, and Warcraft 3.
Unfortunately, most kids don't know about portable .exe's or other unblocked game sites, nor do they really care. Like a PC user trying to convert Mac users, or Android users trying to convert typical iPhone users, the result is always futile.

The absolute worst of the worst clickbait news sites, basically the equivalent to McDonald's. Unlike other news sites, they did not earn their disgraceful reputation for being biased but rather for writing the most obnoxious, ridiculous, brain-dead articles that only attract those who have nothing better to read. Their entire site is psychologically designed to reel you in with a never-ending list of meaningless but mind-numbingly interesting facts and quizzes. The company is probably run by a bunch of greedy capitalist pigs that stop at nothing to get people to click on their articles.
Them: What's wrong with buzzfeed?? Y'all stupid if you think they have some political bias.
Me: Yeah......no. The pertinent problem with buzzfeed is not that they have any sort of media bias, but rather than they produce garbage clickbait articles that offer no value other than to stimulate our brain's dopamine reward system. They will capitalize on any topic if it's profitable, including politics. Basically Buzzfeed is like heroin, and I don't mean that in a good way.

It's exactly what it says on the tin: a subreddit for memes about anime. There are good memes, and then there are bad memes. And that's pretty much it.
User 1: What's the most popular subreddit for anime memes? I know it's not r/animememes
User 2: r/Animemes
User 1: Ah thanks
