Belgrano

(n.) Argentinian cruiser the General Belgrano was the first ship ever to be sunk by a nuclear sub during wartime. It was sunk in the early stages of the Falklands war by British HMS conqueror. It was origianally the US navy's "Phoenix" World war II ship, now sold to argentina.


The HMS conqueror fired six torpedoes, two of which hit directly. The first instantly killed 275 argentines sailors, the second ripping off 15 feet of the hull, dooming the ship.

over 700 of the Belgrano's crew were saved, out of 1,138.

(n.) (American spelling) A part of a country which is not occupied (and is not intended to be occupied) by home troops.

The rhineland was origianally to be a de-militarized zone.

bouncing bomb

1) A spherical bomb that bounces on water when dropped at speed. Floats. Used by the allies to attack dams without losing thier planes.


2) A morbidly obese person fallign over and bouncing back up with thier stomach.

Bouncing bombs were launched against austrian and german dams
