Nickname given to the Avro Lancaster, a British WWII heavy bomber.

Lancs were dispatched to sink the Battleship Tirpitz.

Six wings of Forts just departed on a mission to bomb the fuck out of Leipzig.

Nickname given to the deHavilland Mosquito, a British Fighter-Bomber used during World War Two. This aircraft was known for its lightweight all-wood construction, its speed and its ability to take damage.

Nickname given by WWII pilots-in-training to the Vultee BT-13 Valiant. This particular aircraft had a tendancy to vibrate a lot during flight, hence the nickname.
