Hydra hotfix

Share definition
When a video game developer, typically Indie, releases an update for their game without performing thorough quality control checks beforehand, causing the update to introduce new bugs in their game. Eager to fix these issues, they release a hotfix to patch the issue, but it only introduces even more bugs to fix. Lacking patience and any sort of effective quality control protocols, the game developer ends up releasing dozens of hotfixes for their previous hotfixes, creating an avoidable amount of hotfixes that would've been unnecessary had the dev taken more time to perform all necessary testing to identify potential flaws with their changes.
user1: "wtf is with all these hotfixes?"
user2: "the dev made a hydra hotfix and had to go on a wild goose chase to get everything fixed"
user1: "ffs does anyone even know what quality control is anymore"

A specific type of coaxial cable connector that locks into place with a quarter-twist. The meaning of the acronym "BNC" is largely ambiguous, with various interpretations such as "Bayonet Neil-Concelman", "British Naval Connector", "Bayonet Nut Connector", and others.
IT admin: "The telecom uses BNC connectors for their cable boxes, so we'll need to look into finding a vendor to buy some BNC cables from."
Inquisitive intern: "Alright. Hey, what does the 'BNC' in BNC connector stand for, anyways?"
IT admin: "Honestly, it used to stand for something, but no one really knows precisely what anymore. Just get creative with it, I guess."

Shorthand for 'designated driver.' The person who escorts you to the club, drinks lightly if at all, and helps drive you home after a long night of cirrhotic frivolity. D2s are occasionally given special treatment by bartenders for their services, such as offering snacks and non-alcoholic beverages to dedicated D2s.
Person 1: "Hey, can you be my D2 tonight?"
Person 2: "Sure! I charge $13 per hour, plus $50 if you vomit in my car."
Person 1: "What? Why are you charging me just to-- ...oh."

A common type of money-laundering scam that makes use of guilt-tripping and vague appeals to one's sense of compassion in order to accrue massive amounts of monetary 'donations'. Unlike other scams, charity is very effective in urbanized environments such as Europe and the USA due to the massive amount of political padding around humanitarian efforts, making it very difficult to launch investigations into suspected money laundering operations under such themes.
I'm sick and tired of seeing all these in-your-face charity funds up online. I'd sooner donate my bank account credentials to a random African prince than help some random eastern-European dude buy cocaine or some shit.

Counter-hacking

Share definition
A form of grey-hat hacking where hackers hunt down and bust petty script kiddies and amateur black-hat hackers. Often implies contractor work or the use of honeypot traps to bring malicious hackers to justice.
"Apparently, he was using his charity as a cover-up for his hacking endeavors. He got busted a few months ago in a massive counter-hacking operation and is now in jail. Good fucking riddance."

Classical argument

Share definition
A more refined form of argumentation from simpler times. Unlike modern argument, where one party seeks to assert emotional dominance over the other through the employment of manipulative tactics, classical argument involves the pure exchange of information and growth of one's own understanding of the world. The outcome of a classical argument is the mutual growth of logical fluency, where both parties are able to recognize flaws in their own reasoning and leave with an improved philosophical maturity.
"We had a classical argument about the nature of free will in my philosophy class yesterday. It was super informative and really fun!"

A slang term for opioids, where they are viewed as a doctor's way of giving someone the middle finger. If the doctor can't diagnose a patient's condition, and the patient continues to insist on treatment options in spite of the doctor's reluctance, the doctor may prescribe the patient opioids as a way of simply shutting them up rather than helping them figure out what's wrong. Given the naturally addictive nature of opioid medications, this is often seen as a doctor's way of hurting someone back, often being viewed as the worst-kept secret of American healthcare.
"I recently found out my grandma's death was attributed to an opioid overdose. She'd received the doctor's middle finger over her chronic kidney troubles in 2006, and things were never really the same for her since then."
