Alpha

1. The first letter of the Greek alphabet. See Α, α, ἄλφα, and alfa.

2. In game development, used to denote a stage of the game development when key gameplay mechanics are implemented. Comes after Pre-alpha and before Beta.
3. In a social hierarchy, used to denote a person who has a high social position, an example is an alpha male.

Usage 1: Alpha is a letter of the Greek alphabet.
Usage 2: The game is currently in the alpha stage
Usage 3: He is an alpha male.
