Dayjammas are a very comfortable and lounge-worthy clothing ensemble worn around one's home during the day...often a partial or complete hold over from the ensemble worn while sleeping the previous night.

Luckily, David realized he needed to change out of his dayjammas before his parole officer stopped by his house.

Cats like to get a little loopy now and then, too. When their owner places catnip at their feet and they dose up, the behavior that ensues is a catniption fit.

I gave Casper a pinch of catnip, and he's going nuts...a regular catniption fit!

dead endin'

The common yet very disappointing realization, or point you reach, when you have no more options or ideas. You're tapped out, bushed, done, Finito Benito. You've run out of gas, paint's fallen off the car. You're washed up. Turn out the lights, the party's over.

dogitude

A dogitude is a thought that a man's best friend has, the kind of thinking that results from being a well loved and pampered pet. One can imagine these cliche-like thoughts appearing in thought bubbles hovering above the pooches head.

"Dogitudes" for plural.

Fido thought, "I love this man...when we go for walks together, he stops while I pee and sniff." Or, "Happiness is a bowl of the steak my master is eating." Those are a dogitudes.
