That dumb yardman was supposed to plant flowers; instead he cut down all the plants. He is such a gib-crane.

The use of elevated language or phrases, especially when employing literature, to conceal the extent of an insult.

Professor Sutherlin went Shakespeare on us today in class when he said, "More of your conversation would infect my brain.” He insults certain students and they don't even know it!
