five piece band
A band where the singer is either unwilling or unable to play an instrument.
Many bands have 3 or 4 members with the singer usually playing a rhythm guitar or in some cases (Eve 6 Max Collins), bass.

rubric
A confusing "1-6" grading scale used in high schools. Originated from "red ink".
It is rather confusing, because in typical terms 4/6 would be a D+, but on a "rubric" a 4 is more like a B+/A- level, and 5 or 6 are very hard to get.
The same high schools that use "rubrics" tend to ask retarded questions for essays like "Did this essay cause you to reach any EPIPHANIES?"

When I was in high school, I got a "4" on my rubric. My mom freaked out, not knowing a 4 was like a B+.

overlevel
To level your characters to the point where defeating the bosses takes absolutely no skill whatsoever. This is done in RPGs by unskilled players who avoid any challenge by spending a long time leveling on weak monsters instead of attempting the dungeons at a level that would prove at least somewhat challenging.
Lord Alex refused to go to the Floating Continent in Final Fantasy VI until he was level 40 and everyone had fully learned all the espers... that is more than overleveling!

allergies
What you have when you know you have a cold but you can't afford to miss a day of work so you tell yourself (and any others who comment on your symptoms) that it is just "allergies" so they won't be worried that you're contagious.
If people would admit they had a mild cold rather than allergies, the common cold would not be so common.
